Book a 15-minute call

Fifteen minutes to work out whether your business is a fit. You get a free AI readiness assessment either way.

Proven across 10+ service businesses in health, finance, accounting, consulting and advisory.

// THE_SITUATION

Someone on your team is pasting company data into a personal ChatGPT account. Someone else has built tools nobody uses. You know AI will change how your business runs, but not where it is relevant, what it is worth, or what to do first.

// WHAT_YOU_GET

A clear path forward, and your first AI build live.

01

A picture of how your business actually operates

Process maps, a systems inventory, and an honest view of where time and value leak. Most owners have never seen this in one place.

02

A ranked list of what is worth doing, and why

Every opportunity assessed for value, risk, and how your people would actually interact with it. Ranked, not just listed.

03

Your first AI build, live and in use

Included in the engagement. Built, in use, and owned by you before we finish. Not a demo.

04

Implementation support, if you want it

Scoped after you decide. Some businesses run with the plan themselves. Both are fine.

// HOW_IT_WORKS

Three steps, then you decide.

01

Understand

2–4 weeks

I interview the people doing the work and the leaders setting the direction, map the processes, and inventory the systems.

02

Analyse

1–2 weeks

Every opportunity ranked by value, risk, and how your people would interact with it. Three paths forward, priced and sequenced, with a recommendation.

03

Decide

One session

We walk through the findings and you decide: proceed, adjust, or pause. A real exit, stated up front.

// THE_THREE_PATHS

What you walk away with: three paths and a recommendation.

The Gameplan ends with three options matched to different levels of ambition, and a clear view on which one fits your business now.

Immediate

Quick wins inside the tools you already have. Low change, fast payback, no restructuring.

Usually the best place to start

Structural

Rebuild the processes that carry the most load, with your team brought along. This is where the compounding starts.

Frontier

AI-native ways of working. For businesses ready to change how they operate, not just what they automate.

Fixed price, agreed before we start.

Half invoiced at the start, half on delivery. Your band is set by the scope of what you want to uplift, not your headcount: e.g. a larger business focused on a single function may sit in Small.

// FAQ

Where service businesses usually start.

Where should a services firm start with AI?

Start by getting clear on where value is created - what each workstream or function is really there to produce. Until that's clear, it's hard to know what's actually worth improving. From there, look at three things together: your team's capability, the technology you already run on, and what AI can realistically do. That's what a readiness assessment is for - it shows you where the genuine opportunities to implement sit. Then you pick a first use case for the right reasons, where value and readiness line up, and take the path with the best chance of being adopted: bringing people along, managing the change, and building something resilient rather than a one-off that breaks the moment the work shifts.

What are the different types of AI support out there?

AI support is still new and changing, so the market is a bit of a mix. Broadly there are three kinds. There are technical builders who can vibe-code and stand up local tools to solve a specific problem. There's education and training, which lifts how your team uses the tools day to day. And there's the middle ground - someone who can do the technical build, understand what actually matters for your business, and build it in a way that gets adopted and drives a real outcome. In larger organisations that middle role gets called a full-stack engineer. Plain Logic is a scaled-down version of that for small businesses, and it's the most valuable place to sit, because a build only pays off if it solves the right problem and people actually use it.

What's the difference between AI strategy and implementation?

Strategy is working out what your business should actually do - which problems are worth solving and where AI pays. Implementation is building it. Plenty of consultants offer both, but the hard part is finding someone who genuinely understands how a business could run better operationally and has the technical capability to build it. That’s what we aim for at Plain Logic: knowing which problems are the right ones to solve, then building for them.

What is an AI readiness assessment?

It's a read on how ready your business is to get real value from AI, beyond individual productivity. At a basic level, tools like Claude, ChatGPT or Autohive help anyone be more productive on their own work. Lifting productivity across the whole organisation needs foundations: a clear source of truth that lives in the cloud, data your AI tools can actually reach, documented processes, and a team that's willing and able to change how it works. That last part - change management - is a big piece of it. The assessment looks at where you sit on each of those, so you know what's worth doing now and what needs to come first.

What sort of return should I expect?

Across clients, the return usually isn't a cost cut. It's growth. More consistent service, faster decisions, and quicker outcomes for your clients, which means the team can take on more work and spend their time on the more valuable parts of it. That's been the consistent pattern - capacity and quality going up, rather than headcount coming down.
